BetterMe Review: Pros, Cons And How It Helps You Lose Weight

Over the past few years, I’ve tried my fair share of weight loss programs. I’d lose a few pounds at first, but they’d slowly pile back on when I went off the program. Saying I was frustrated would be an understatement. At some point, I really believed I would never shed the weight. Early last year, I saw a BetterMe ad, and today I’m proud to be sharing with you how this app helped me lose weight and keep it off.

What Is BetterMe?

BetterMe is an app-based weight-loss program that uses short, 10-minute lessons to help users make lifestyle changes. The program uses a psychology-based approach to help you work on your mindset and break out of the vicious cycle you’ve grown accustomed to.

Within the app, users get access to an informative course designed to help them identify and overcome mental weight loss obstacles. They also get access to nutrition and workouts that are essential for success. If you’re wondering what happens when you try a new, mind-based approach, here’s my experience using this app.

Although the program was built by professionals, it’s structured in a very simple and easy to understand format. I spent just a few minutes each day getting bits of info and doing mental exercises that completely changed how I think about weight loss.

What I loved most was that every day, I felt like a friend was talking to me. No big, “science” terms to explain why none of the diets I tried worked. Instead, I got simple scenarios and visual scenes that made me truly understand why I ended up frustrated every time.

How Does BetterMe Work?

Thanks to this supportive app, I was able to finally get off the dieting rollercoaster. It has meal plans that give my nutrition structure. I knew what and how much to eat every day to meet my goals.

I was able to give Keto a go with the BetterMe meal plans. This time, armed with the knowledge of how my mind works and what cravings really are, I was much more successful at sticking to the low-carb way of eating.

How Are The BetterMe Workouts?

BetterMe fitness took the struggle out of exercise and helped me adopt a more active lifestyle. The workout plans start at the most basic level, which is the one I chose first. Now, after more than a year, I’m able to do more advanced workouts.

The best part about the workouts is that they are demonstrated, so all I had to do was master the correct form before increasing the frequency of exercise. I still turn on my app at the gym and use the advanced routines to get the most out of my workouts.

On top of the range of levels and the variety of exercises, I was blown away by how inclusive the app is. Prenatal yoga, senior-friendly workouts, body positivity fitness challenges, workouts specifically designed for handicapped people – and that’s just scraping the surface.

Does BetterMe Work?

It sure does, but you have to put in effort too!

Perhaps the most important point to emphasize at the end of it all is – I did the work.

BetterMe is a good app, but I had to be open and willing to use the knowledge I was given to improve myself. So it’s important that when you decide to give this app a go, you go all in.

Although it only took me a few months to finish the program, I can say that my relationship with BetterMe has never truly ended. Not just because I still use the meal plans and workouts but because my mindset changed for the better. I encounter different situations where knowing how my mind works helps me make better decisions.
