In this digital world era, where technology has become so advanced and allows devices to be more convenient, smallest, and slimmer. We have an example of a computer, laptop, tablets, smart phones, and now a newly moderated device formed named a “NOTEBOOK.”

We can understand what this new device is. A notebook is a battery or AC powered personal computer. It is usually smaller than a briefcase which can easily be transported anywhere. We can conveniently use in temporary spaces such as airplanes, libraries, universities, offices, and at meetings.

We might be thinking that what is the difference between a laptop and a Notebook? There is only a technical difference between a computer and a Notebook. The laptop’s weight and size is more significant than the Notebook. Moreover, Notebook costs much more feasible than notebooks, and it is so much better in power and performance than laptops.

  • It has an easy-open lid. 
  • Conveniently located ports make it user friendly; for example, the user can use the mouse externally through the port.
  • It has USB Type-C that can support a vast range of devices; even it can replace HDMI and display port connections for video out.  
  • It has Thunderbolt 3 support, which can support an external graphics card with Windows 10, which is a big boon for gamers.
  • It provides touchpad center click functionality not to need to use a mouse externally for center click.
  • It provides a high power adapter plug and size, especially in a gaming notebook; that’s why it needs a larger adapter size to supply more power to the Notebook’s internal components.
  • It has dedicated media controls just like volume up, down, playback it, or keep it on mute mood or pause. 
  • It has a beautiful feature of function lock. However, there is a possibility of swapping the functions of F1 by F12 keys in the Notebook’s BIOS. If you see a picture of the Notebook’s keyboard and an “FnLk” symbol, it would be a good indicator that the Notebook has this functionality.
  • The Notebook has a high quality of webcams and microphones. That means its camera quality is much more beneficial for you if you are a frequent skype user or do a conference call or video conferencing.

  • You can quickly move your around in your home more comfortably, from room to room, and in any part of your home, you want to use your, even in bed.
  • A notebook computer is suitable for frequent business traveling. You can use it while sitting, standing, or even while you are lying on your bed.
  • Less costly than most laptops or tablets
  • Convenient to hold, carry and pack
  • Extremely lightweight
  • It has a physical keyboard for email and business apps.

Cons:

  • Slower processors and less RAM (generally)
  • Small screen size
  • Limited internal storage
  • The keyboard may be smaller than typical ones.
  • Few peripheral options (DVD drives, etc.)
