It’s official. I can now say, I know people who know PEOPLE. My graphic designer actually got to meet the one and only George Lucas a few months ago. Now, if I’m being honest, I don’t get the cult-like following Star Wars has earned. However, I do think it’s pretty cool that a guy I went to high school with actually shook George Lucas’s hand at a Star Wars Celebration.
In the Fall, there was a lot of secrecy surrounding a joint trip to San Francisco for my designer at The Creative Juices and C4 Designs. There was some inkling that it had something to do with LucasFilm and Star Wars, but their lips were sealed.
The big reveal came in January when the duo became a member of an elite club of official Star Wars licensees with their new product FanWraps. Star Wars aficionados can now broadcast to the world who their favorite character is by decorating their car. Yep, now you can wrap your car in Star Wars.
It’s easy to install and wrap your car in the FanWrap of your choice because they come with all the tools you need to make it happen, and they’ve taken special care to make the product bubble and wrinkle free for smooth application. The wraps are laminated and UV protected too, so no fading once you’ve built your ideal fan-mobile. And there are a variety of sizes available so you can wrap your car in just the right one.
FanWraps are scheduled to come out in waves, starting mid-February, with the first wave featuring eight amazingly life-like, classic Star Wars characters. Future waves will include more obscure character lines. If you want to see them in person before you order, you can check out FanWraps at the San Diego Comic Con in July 2013. So which one will you choose to wrap your car with?
