In Sydney, there are various kinds of construction tickets and licences.

In addition to the general construction induction program (white card) required to work on any worksite in Sydney, we’ve prepared a list of other construction tickets in Sydney that a labourer or other tradie may need.

Entry ticket for a limited space

For those who work in enclosed or semi-enclosed confined environments, a confined space admission ticket is required. It is described as a space not intended for human entry and poses a risk to health and safety. Sewers, tunnels, trenches, tanks, and vats are examples of jobs that may require this ticket.

Ticket for working at heights

The Work at Heights pass is for regular labourers or traders who must work at heights regularly as part of their job. When operating at altitudes, there are several dangers and scenarios to consider. Losing tools and equipment, as well as falls from great heights, are all potential hazards. Working around elevated work platforms and scaffolding are two jobs that may require these tickets.

Ticket for elevated work platforms

Elevated Work Platforms (EWP) tickets are separated into two categories: below 11 metres. You would be allowed to navigate a scissor lift, a horizontal lift, and a boom raise under 11 metres after completing the EWP below 11 metres course. If you are required a Boom lift that is longer than 11 metres, you must have completed extra training that authorises you.

Ticket for the asbestos ticket

In Sydney, licensed construction tickets are separated into three categories: asbestos awareness, non-friable asbestos removal, and asbestos removal supervision. You must have done at least a few of these courses if you are operating with or near asbestos. The asbestos awareness training will educate you on spot asbestos in the materials you’re working with. You’ll be able to get rid of less than 10m2 of quasi asbestos as well. You must have completed the cleanup of non-friable asbestos if you need to eliminate more than 10m2 of quasi asbestos. If you work in a group or on your own, you’ll need someone with a ticket that permits them to supervise asbestos removal. Many demolition activities will necessitate the possession of an asbestos removal permit.

Cards for traffic control in blue and yellow

The tickets for traffic control are separated into two categories: the first enables you to regulate traffic (Blue card). The second allows us to create and execute a traffic control strategy (Red card). If you want to work as a traffic controller, you’ll need at least a blue ticket, which will allow you to manage traffic flows near construction sites. A Yellow card will enable you to arrange for traffic flow around a facility and verify that it complies with safety regulations. Working as a controller frequently necessitates both tickets. A driver’s licence is often essential, as many traffic simulations will be required to travel from location to location in diverse places.

A Risi ticket is a ticket that allows you to participate in a

This Train Industry Safety Training ticket teaches learners the primary dangers in real-world rail operations. It raises awareness about track and electrical safety, for example. It will also guarantee that the rail personnel are informed of the safety requirements and hazards and the legal obligations that must be met. The RISI pass is required for anyone who works on Sydney’s rail system.

Work licenses with a risk

This is a collection of permits that allow workers to do high-risk work. Crane licences, dogging, rigging, scaffold licences, forklift licencing, hoist licencing, pressure equipment licences, and reach stacker licences are high-risk work licences.
