download Twitter videos
Twitter is not a video-sharing app — it’s for text, and don’t you forget that.
The platform makes it notoriously difficult to download a video that was posted on a tweet. So, if you want to share a video, usually that means you’ll have to share the whole tweet along with it. Sure, you can always screen record, save the recording, edit it down to the clip, and save it that way. But that’s quite a few steps, and it won’t always leave you with the best quality. But there is another way.
The next time a Stephen A. Smith reaction video posts to Twitter and you want to share it with someone on a different app or even just keep it for yourself in your phone’s meme folder, it’s simple to do — if you know the right steps.
Here is how you can download Twitter videos to your phone or computer.
Find the video you want to download
There are tons of videos flooding Twitter, from reaction videos to videos someone posted on their own.
Copy the link
Once you find a video you want to download, copy the link to the tweet. If you’re on a browser, you can copy the URL right out of the browser’s address bar. You can also click the share button on the bottom right corner of the tweet, and select “copy link to tweet.” If you’re on mobile, click the share button on the bottom right corner of the tweet. Then, select “copy link.”
Download the video on a third-party website
Now that you have the link copied, you’ll want to go to Save Tweet Vid or Twitter Video Downloader. There, you’ll paste a copied link and click download.
Voila! Your Twitter video is saved to your device.
